For golfers from Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland, winter can mean several months away from the golf course.

In Thailand, it can mean something completely different.

Warm weather, green fairways and year-round golf have made Thailand one of Asia's most popular golf destinations. But there is one part of Thai golf that can feel unfamiliar to Scandinavian golfers: caddies are normally required for every round.

At Sawang Resort, we offer something a little different.

Stay at the golf course, enjoy up to 36 holes a day, accommodation and three meals—and after completing your first 18 holes with a caddie, the caddie becomes optional for your additional round.

For golfers accustomed to playing independently at home, it provides more freedom and can also reduce the daily cost of playing 36 holes.

Stay, Eat and Play Up to 36 Holes a Day

Our Stay & Play package is designed to keep a Thailand golf holiday simple.

The package includes:

  • Accommodation at Sawang Resort

  • Up to 36 holes of golf per day

  • Shared golf cart

  • Breakfast, lunch and dinner

  • Caddie required for the first 18 holes

  • Caddie optional after the first 18 holes

Instead of arranging a hotel, transport, green fees, carts and meals separately, you can stay directly at the golf course and concentrate on playing.

This is particularly convenient for golfers staying for two weeks, one month or longer.

Play Your Second Round Without a Caddie

For Scandinavian golfers, this is perhaps one of the most unusual features of Sawang Resort.

At most golf courses in Thailand, a caddie accompanies you for every round.

At Sawang Resort, we require a caddie for your first 18 holes of the day. Once you've completed those 18 holes, however, the choice is yours.

Want a caddie for another 18 holes?

No problem.

Prefer to take your cart and play independently?

You can do that too.

For golfers from Scandinavia, where playing independently is completely normal, the second option can feel much more like golf at home—except you're playing in Thailand in warm weather.

It Can Also Save Money

Choosing no-caddie golf for your additional round isn't only about independence.

It can also make playing 36 holes a day more economical.

Your first 18 holes include the normal caddie requirement. If you decide to play another round, choosing to play without a caddie means you avoid the additional caddie fee and tip for that second round.

Over a long stay, those savings can add up.

For example, a golfer staying for several weeks and regularly playing a second 18 holes can enjoy considerably more golf without paying for a second caddie every day.

You don't have to choose no-caddie golf, either. Some golfers enjoy having a caddie for both rounds.

The important difference is that you have the choice.

A Typical Golf Day at Sawang Resort

An early start makes it surprisingly easy to fit plenty of golf into your day.

06:00 – Breakfast

07:00 – First 18 holes with a caddie

11:00 – Lunch

12:00 – Relax, have a coffee or spend some time by the pool

13:00 – Another 9 or 18 holes, with or without a caddie

Evening – Dinner and relax

Or simply stop after the first 18 holes and enjoy the afternoon.

There's no requirement to play 36 holes every day. The benefit is having the option when you feel like playing more.

What Could a Longer Golf Stay Cost?

This is where staying at a golf resort becomes particularly interesting.

At the standard seasonal rate, for example:

14 nights in February: 2,700 THB × 14 = 37,800 THB per person

30 nights in March: 2,300 THB × 30 = 69,000 THB per person

30 nights in October: 1,800 THB × 30 = 54,000 THB per person

And remember: the package isn't simply a hotel room.

It includes your accommodation, golf, shared cart and three meals each day.

For golfers who actually intend to play regularly, this makes it much easier to budget for a long golf holiday in Thailand.
